With the newer versions of Homer, you have the ability to resize your user list to any dimensions you want. This will give you the ability to see internet addresses of users immediately and easily. This window will give a list of all the individuals that are currently on the channel you are actively using. For those using color, everyone is in black text normal text, except for channel operators who are designated by the color red and bolded letters. A channel operator is an individual who has the power to control the channel. You say, ΓÇ£What the hell does that mean?ΓÇ¥ It means that a channel operator is able to click on the pretty little switches at the top of the Homer channel window and make them do something. If youΓÇÖre not channel operator, youΓÇÖre unable to do any changing.
  
Becoming a Channel Operator (or Grand Bonehead): You will know you are a channel operator if your pretty little red light illuminates. If you become a channel operator you have many options. (You can also become a channel operator now by selecting ΓÇÿNew ChannelΓÇÖ from the ΓÇÿFileΓÇÖ menu and create any channel you know doesnΓÇÖt exist; For instance, try #bogus. When you become channel operator, your Operator Status light will illuminate. Whenever you create a channel, you are automatically given operator status. (Sounds of awe come from people). Now that you have Op. Status, you may click on any of the buttons on the top and utilize their abilities. (The abilities of being an operator are discussed in a later chapter.)
